Smart.LITE - a blend of simplicity and efficiency
The Smart.LITE solution represents a cutting-edge lighting pole system equipped with robust hardware tailored for seamless sensor integration.
Engineered to manage power distribution, data collection, and networking, it accommodates a diverse array of proprietary and third-party equipment. It enables remote control of multiple light sources through its built-in DALI interface.
Exceptionally versatile, Smart.Lite supports power supply distribution and data transfer for a variety of sensors, including PoE, USB, 12C, UART, and wireless configurations.
Ifs IP66-rated enclosure ensures dependable operation in both indoor and outdoor environments. Moreover, all signals are channeled through waterproof cable glands, enhancing durability and resilience against environmental elements.

SMART LIGHTING
Combination of functional and ambient RGBW colour smart lighting can be scheduled for festive themes or used as a visual element for digital services. All industry standard luminaires can be installed post top, or using bracketry to increase an outreach.
SITUATIONAL AWARENESS
Range of different cameras and lidars offer enhanced security and enable analytic services such as counting traffic.
CITY AUDIO
Audio modules introduce digital audio over IP network speakers for public address system to play synchronized announcements and messages in smart pole network. There is also a possibility to connect in mass notification systems via APIs.
ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING
Various sensors are installed in a modular structure to measure air quality, temperature, humidity, and noise pollution. Illuminance sensor is detecting ambient light and allows to adjust light intensity in a luminaire and its brightness levels automatically.
CONNECTIVITY
Smart functionalities are operated through cellular 5G, sub-6GHz network, by dedicated IoT Gateway unit. It also includes other wireless connectivity options, such as: 5G SA/NSA, LTE Cat 16/18, Cat. M, NB-IoT, EGPRS, WiFi 6ax, BLE 5.
MANAGEMENT
Features are managed through web-based Valmont CityC platform which allows users to remotely and securely operate installed devices and digital services.
Modularity – enabling versatile combinations
Smart.LITE’s structure is divided into modules which allows flexibility and freedom for building the right configuration based on service needs.
Base section is 2m in height with 2 access doors and necessary AC and DC power management including power supply unit and Valmont Control Box. Also various pedestrian level devices or actuators can be mounted such as alarm panel, EV-charging, push buttons, detectors etc.
Audio and camera modules are 0.5m in length and can be equipped with 1 or 2 units.
Decorative lighting module houses a laser-cut patterned section with internally illuminated acrylic tube. This section can be from 0.5m – 3m in length and fully customized according to your design.
Extension modules are used to increase the height of the pole and to enable positioning of other modules. Lengths can vary from 1m – 6m or according to requirements. These can also carry external equipment.
Top module or lighting module can be specified with any standard luminaire on the market.
