Council adapts digital services

Oxford City Council has improved its website, making it easier for residents to allocate the information they are looking for quickly.

Among the measures to improve accessibility, the council has updated its Contact Us page and improved the way in which residents can apply online and leave enquiries.

Additionally, the council has introduced a webchat feature, which allows website visitors to communicate in real time with council staff to help guide them to the pages they are looking for.

Susan Brown, deputy leader of Oxford City Council and Board Member for Customer and Corporate Services, said: “As more and more of life is conducted online, we thought it was important to improve our website so people can find and use our services more easily. We are also providing webchat that links dedicated customer services officers to website visitors if they need help in finding their way around the site.”
