While 3D printing is becoming more widely used in general engineering the use of 3D printing in the medical and allied sectors such as dentistry has only just begun.
Security Minister Ben Wallace has said that internet companies should face a tax punishment for failing to deal with the threat of terrorism in the UK.
In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, Wallace said technology giants, such as Facebook, Google and YouTube, were failing to help prevent the radicalisation of people online as worldwide governments were spending millions policing the web.
Wallace claimed that the government should look at all options of incentivising firms, including tax.
Wallace said: “Because content is not taken down as quickly as they could do we're having to de-radicalise people who have been radicalised. That's costing millions. Because of encryption and because of radicalisation, the cost of that is heaped on law enforcement agencies.”
