Innovative software makes energy monitoring a breeze
The government’s national technology adviser, Liam Maxwell, is leaving his role in Whitehall to take up a position at Amazon Web Services (AWS), according to several sources.
Before his current role, Maxwell was the first CTO for Government Digital Services (GDS). He is understood to be leaving to work in Amazon's public sector procurement.
Maxwell was among the senior staffers responsible for creating a cloud-first policy within the UK government, and will have witnessed the progress of companieswinning deals in various government departments, notably and controversially HMRC.
During his time in central Government, Maxwell worked closely with Matt Hancock, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Ed Vaizey, Minister for the Digital Economy at Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
Since 1997 e3 have worked with many government agencies, departments and NGO’s including The Environment Agency, National Archives, Natural England, Civil Service Learning, English Heritage, Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, Dept. of Work and Pensions and the Border and Immigration Agency.
